The Raven Boys šŸŖ¶ Review

ā€œMy words are unerring tools of
destruction, and Iā€™ve come unequipped with the ability to disarm themā€ - Maggie Stiefvater

āļøāļø 2 Stars āœØ SPOILERS āœØ

It shouldā€™ve been the perfect fantasy for me! Promises of killing your true love with a kiss and talking to the dead? Sign me up! šŸ‘»

The first section was what I expected. Spooky atmosphere, humour and mystery.  It was a little slow sure, but I was intrigued. Out of nowhere, the book took a detour and never returned šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I honestly couldnā€™t tell you what happened, all of a sudden we were best mates with the Raven boys and looking for a Welsh king? Some guy called Noah was a plot twist? But was it? I didnā€™t care. šŸ™ˆ

It didnā€™t help that I just didnā€™t like any characters, I felt disconnected, I didnā€™t know any of them. Adam was probably the best character, there were some humorous one liners, but thatā€™s about all I can say šŸ’€

Iā€™m just disappointed ā˜¹ļø this series is so highly rated and I wanted to love it. But even with the help of an audiobook, it couldnā€™t capture my attention.
