The Language of Baklava: A Memoir with Recipes by Diana Abu-Jaber

5.0

Insightful. She brings us into the life of an Arab American and struggle over culture and home. The descriptions are done so well--I can almost hear the sounds and smell the smells. I enjoy the recipes. It was not a fast read for me but not because I wasn't enjoying it. There is so much substance to this book. It draws you in and you want to stay a while.
