"Well you know what they say...All is fair in love and Jingle Wars."
The book starts right when Freya Anderson takes up a responsibility to handle her father's holiday resort in Hollyridge. Her parents were divorced and she just needed to prove to her father that she was capable of helping him with buisness.
Finn Mayberry's grandparents were the owners to The Mayberry Inn which was right next to Freya's family owned resort. Finn and his grandparents had been running their Inn but their sales started declining due to Freya's newly built resort.
When Finn and Freya first met, there was instant attraction between them but it soon turned into rivalry.
Both of them wanted to win the Jingle Wars competition which was sort of an annual event held in Hollyridge during Christmas. Finn wanted to preserve his grandparents' legacy while Freya just wanted her father to pay more attention to her as his daughter. The competition was important to both of them and no one was ready to back down from the challenge.
From that moment onwards things started to get heated between Finn & Freya. There were lots of newly budding feelings but at the same time they couldn't act on it because of the obvious rivalry.
"This isn't cutesy glamping or light hiking for your Facebook likes princess."
Their banters were so cute and Freya's inner monologues were entertaining.
"Did you just use hashtag in a real sentence? Out loud and shit?" - "Don't knock my goals."
"Don't @ me brain Freya, it's not happening. Quit calling me out."
In between the competition, Finn & Freya didn't realise that they were in too deep with their feelings.
Things were starting to get more intense between them.
Finn was a good man with a great heart. He was emotional, gentle, caring, kind and funny. He seemed to be such a soft character until he started talking dirty lol!
