Hey, Hun: Sales, Sisterhood, Supremacy, and the Other Lies Behind Multilevel Marketing by Emily Lynn Paulson

Emily was one of the leaders within the multilevel marketing company, but getting to the top required a lot of lies, a lot of "selling," and a lot of putting herself and her life on the line. This is a fascinating memoir and expose of the realities of companies like Amway, Roden and Fields, LuLaRoe, and others and how they manipulate people into joining them. It looks at how much money those who take part in these MLMs really make vs. how much they spend each month to stay active, and Paulson interweaves within her experiences the ways in which she turned to drinking to cope with the life she just could not keep up with. Insightful, surprising, and juicy–if you do audiobooks, it's a great listen, too, with Paulson doing the performing.
