Hunting: A Cultural History by Jan E. Dizard, Mary Zeiss Stange

1.0

You decide to write a book including many pages covering the motivation for hunting in early hunter-gatherer contexts, and you somehow don't ever think of even mentioning a word like 'protein' in that part of the coverage? These authors are clueless and they shouldn't be writing books about things about which they seem to know nothing.

The book is very heavy on speculation and very poor on actual data. Despite some of the later chapters not being completely terrible, this book was all in all a thoroughly disappointing read.
