Leslie North books can be a little hit or miss for me, but I definitely liked this one! The chemistry between the leads is melt-yo-panties-off hot! But their relationship blooms in a very sweet and natural way, even if it starts with a one night stand.
Mila is a great heroine. She is smart and a hard worker. She is funny and passionate and I just loved how she stood up for herself as the book progressed. Grayson is very driven after growing up in poverty with a single mom. I really wish we had heard more of his story and more of how it drives him today. The leads had a few very short conversations about his childhood, but it was such a huge factor in his motivations that I didn't feel like we really got into it enough. I wanted more.
This book was a great blend of sexy, steamy, sweet and swoony! I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
