Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

I think that if this book had been written differently, I would have liked it more. I didn't like the author's simplistic writing style. It made parts of the book very confusing because almost nothing about the plot was explained; it was just happening. One minute this is happening and then the next something else, with little to no exposition about anything in between. It made it very confusing at times. I also just found the main characters to be very juvenile at times. Like peeing in soup...really? I also just find it unrealistic that a large group of men would just suddenly want to end civilization as we know it because they enjoy beating the shit out of each other, but I'm not a guy, so who knows? Also, the ending was kind of weird. The narrator ends up in a psych ward, but the doctors don't seem to know that he has DID. I did look it up, and doctors have been aware of DID since the 1800s, so I find it a little hard to believe that they're not treating him for this. I have not seen the movie, but intend to see now if I like the story in a different form.
