The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman

5.0

“Miss Marple meets James Bond” is how I heard this described and I have to agree!

Once again, an absolute cracker from RO. I was obsessed with the Thursday Murder Club and this has been just as fabulous!

Richards writing & characters are so well developed however you just HAVE to listen to the marvellous Lesley Manville read this on Audible. Not often does the narrator make the book better but Lesley did just this! I usually want to get through a book quite quick and put it on 1x2 even 1x3 but I can’t do this with Lesley! It has to be listened exactly how she reads this!!

The way her voice creates the individuality of Joyce, Elizabeth, Ibrahim and Ron as well as Bogdan, Donna and the whole ensemble is incredible!

I can’t say how much I love these books and hope there’s books, a movie, a series and an annual! Can’t get enough!

Ps At the end of the audible reading there’s a fabulous interview with Lesley Manville and Richard Osman and it’s so great!!!
