This is a very uncomfortable but important read that I think everyone needs to read especially young men and women. What starts out as Amelie heartbroken at the end of a relationship it soon becomes clear as the relationship is retold that Reece was abusing her. There are clear signs of gaslighting throughout and manipulation to isolate Amelie from her friends. Reece is by far the worst person in any book I've ever met with a controlling personality. It's upsetting that we never see any consequences to Reece but it echoes how important it is to speak out and get help even in the most isolating and toxic relationships as well as trust your gut.
