The Sweetest Revenge by Lizzy Dent
3.0
After her boss/secret boyfriend made a decision that hurt her career, Amy gets drunk and takes revenge on his Audi, and it goes viral. Two years later, she has started over in London and finally has an opportunity to get her career back on track AND she’s been flirting with her new downstairs neighbor. But when that ex suddenly becomes her new boss, she is determined to not let get life fall apart again,
Amy’s backstory had me cringing and laughing at the same time - the second-hand embarrassment of going viral for revenge on an ex was REAL. I appreciated Amy’s growth throughout this story, although I have to admit she really irritated me at times. I felt the issue with her family was very unnecessary and was a bit disappointed in her. That being said, I did enjoy her relationship with Jake and their banter.
Thank you to Putnam Books and NetGalley for the advance copy.
