Butcher and Blackbird 🐦‍⬛ Review

‘I didn’t gouge them out, Butcher. I plucked them. Delicately. Like a lady.’ - Brynne Weaver 👁️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars

A rom com centred around 2 serial killers? SIGN ME UP. I was hooked from the start by Sloane and Rowan and there annual competition. Their banter was so much fun, I really looked forward to their interactions. 🔪

It’s a surprisingly fun read, pretty safe for anyone interested in dabbling into dark romance. I was initially a little disappointed that this wasn’t very dark, but I did fall into the playful gore of it all pretty quickly. 🩸

Rowan was an obsessed puppy, Sloane was an anxious black cat - the perfect combo. The build up of the relationship was really nice, I’m not a fan of insta lust. When things eventually got steamy, it was 🔥

I like my dark romances a bit deeper in plot, relationship and trauma but I had so much fun with this, I flew through it. 🦅
