Seed by Ania Ahlborn
5.0
Seed builds such a creepy, spine tingling atmosphere as it goes on until the final pages fill you with dread. I loved this book. Jack's character held my sympathy and frustrated me in the best way. While I wish he had told Aimee the truth, the demon stopping him each time built the suspense and tension so well. I also felt that his reactions and evasion was perfectly characterized as a man with mystery childhood demon trauma.
A lot of elements felt familiar and I definitely saw the twist concerning his parents coming from a mile away, but still, the build up to that reveal was so good.
I wish we knew more about the demon- did Jack get it from the graveyard or his mother?
All in all, I really enjoyed it, and the unanswered questions only add to its charm.
