Midnight in Death
by J.D. Robb
3 stars-
This was fine! It wasn’t bad. Personally, I think I prefer the full length novels in this series. Not really any development from anyone except Eve, so this was pretty much strictly the case at hand, which makes sense given that it’s a novella. Not really much to say- I enjoy the escaped serial killer trope, but I wish I had read a previous book about his original capture. I think it would’ve been a lot more impactful if I had seen David Palmer firsthand before this novella. We’ve also had a few serial killers in a row now, so I’m hoping we switch it up with a different killing style next book. Still fun, and a quick read!
