Dirty Forty by Mia Monroe
4.0

Thanks to an overbearing “when are you going to get married?” mother Dominic lies and tells his entire family he’s engaged to his childhood best friend, house mate and business partner Zach at his 39th birthday dinner. There’s only one small problem: Zach is gay and Dominic isn’t... or is he? They made a marriage pact when they were 21 that they would marry each other if they were still single at 40 and Dominic is hoping Zach will still agree to it. Dirty Forty is a wonderful angst free story of 2 mature men whose relationship deepens from best friends to lovers. I was happy to see these 2 men having proper conversations about their feelings and no unnecessary miscommunications or drama. I’m always quick to jump on a book by Mia as I have yet to read one I don’t love immediately and I feel the same way again. I always enjoy the fake fiancé/wedding trope but this was my first wedding pact book.
