The Midwife and the Orc by Finley Fenn

5.0

What I have enjoyed most is the dark, sexual nature of these books. There is betrayal and pain from misunderstood, ugly orcs who often act from a place of hurt. It has made everything so deliciously complex.

Now, this one is a little lighter. Gwyn figures out Joarr's manipulation early on and there is a really great side story about her self-harm.

At the end, I was confused by the competitve fucking between the two men and their mates, but with Orc culture, I've just let it be what it is....exhibitionism is the norm, so it shouldn't have surprised me.

Another 5 star read! I have ordered the next two books in the series and pre-ordered Beauty and the Orc. Honestly, these have been some of the best books I have read in a long time - hits every dirty little fantasy. Love you Finley Fenn! You. Are. Amazing!
