I received this book as part of the ARC Team, and in short 100/10 recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
On my spice scale, I would rate it a 4/5. Had spice and was heavy in the book but the plot was still a main focus, and it didn't have any "heavy" kinks.
I jumped right in and didn't get a chance to read From Dust to Don (a novella prequel) but I don't think it was needed! From their first encounter, the tension is full of steam between Liam and Jamie.
Stephanie ripped my heart out but she also brought it back to life. The twists in the story had me gasping and at times almost crying (which I NEVER do with books). Be prepared to fall madly in love with the characters and their banter, their fights. The emotions hit so close to home and overall just wow. I loved this book!
There are a couple more books to come out in this series and I will be impatiently waiting for them to release.
*As someone who reads dark romance I didn't think there were a ton of triggers BUT did very strongly have one on early miscarriage, if you have any triggers please check the trigger warnings before reading! (can be found on Stephanie Amaral's website!!)*
