This book surprised me how much I enjoyed it. You get the same messages as the Great Gatsby and so much more. In the point of view of a marginalized character, the story is able to go much more in depth. The magical realism, the queerness, and the asian immigrant experience are all intriguing additions that make this such a unqiue story.
Also incredible spice.
