The end angered me, the books was by moment a bit too slow for me and the very fast. The writing was beautiful and it manages to keep my attention. Some moments were really immersive and other I felt a bit more bored. The historical period is not one I am interested so it was also not easy for the book. But I liked how the machinations how we uncover slowly by slowly the true character of someone.

i just feel that the ending was a bit sudden and a bit like a splosh. Emilia deserved better
