My first Brandon Sanderson! I wanted to start with a stand-alone and see how it would go. It took me a while to get into the world building yet at the same time I didn’t want to put it down. I thought I would spend a year dipping in and out but lo behold - I’ve read it - and I enjoyed it. The story will stay with me forever. If like me you want to read a Sanderson book for the first time - but don’t know where to start or whether you’ll like it, pick up Elantris.
