Seven Secrets, Vol. 1 by Tom Taylor
4.0
Exciting and intriguing! With a "supersecret magical society" shape that we know and love, but done in a new enough way that had me drawn in. The story of our hero's parents was especially affecting and deep as well!
The art by Daniele Di Nicuolo was electric! Way into it.
Thought the cliffhanger of this first volume could've been a bit stronger, maybe? After years of being led around by the nose by Morning Glories, I'm now a little bit suspect of indie comic series that hold too much back. But then again, I have nothing but good things to say about Tom Taylor, so there's that.
Definitely had me wanting more, for sure. May even seek out the series in single issues!
