Blandine has big “main character energy” and by that I mean she really feels like the center of the world in this book. Her voice can be annoying as it is a little too self-involved. Maybe that’s not the right word. Bad things happen to her but her introspection is a little too…pretentious? Overall though, I thought this book was cleverly structured. Even though I was underwhelmed by the ending, I am definitely looking forward to reading more of Gunty’s stuff.
