Avalon High
by Meg Cabot
Reading this was wholly nostalgic and I LOVED every second of it! [hence the reason I've chosen not to rate. I'm riding the nostalgic feels trip too hard lol]
I saw the Disney movie first—blasphemous, I know—and really fell in love with Ellie (or Allie, I guess I should say), and so from there, I binged a LOT of fanfiction, through which I discovered the truth about Ellie's role and bits of Will's backstory. And ever since, Avalon High has been on my radar to ACTUALLY read. So this was a ride. I'm so happy I got around to it, and while they probably don't have much literary value, you can bet your ass I'm absolutely going to read the Coronation manga series because I am NOT ready to let this world go.
If you have any middle grade readers that love myths and legends, retellings, and/or just fantasy in general, this is definitely as good as any!
