I continue to feel like this series is stuck between two age gaps. The story would be better suited to a YA audience, but the writing is aimed at more of a middle grade audience.
Still, Rick Riordan continues to deliver fun and exciting plot lines, and this book was interesting and engaging throughout. The introduction and development of side characters really helped build this book up and also allowed the main characters to shine through.
