Knife Edge by Malorie Blackman

4.0

When I said I reached straight for book 2 I reached straight for book 2. Book 1 was that good!

This truly is a thought provoking series and this was almost as good as the first but the song lyrics knocked it down by half a star.

Once again Malorie Blackman builds on her world and characters so well throughout this book. You find yourself even starting to feel sorry for Jude. You are sunk straight into the story and you quickly become immersed in it.

Although I thought the YA showed through more in the book than it did in Noughts and Crosses it is still a compelling and engaging read for all. This definitely felt like a midpoint book in that you feel you are only partway through the story. On to book 3, the culmination of the original trilogy.
