This book was soooooo good I flew through it. Fair warning, it is super sad and I felt all of these emotions so intensely. 

Spoilers:
- I would also not be forgiving of my best friend forsaking my family but good for her I guess
- I had never heard of the 4-3 incident and was floored
- love love love the haenyeo, they are icons and the writing about the deep sea diving were some of my favorite parts
