Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland by Gina DeJesus, Mary Jordan, Amanda Berry

5.0

It is astounding to me that Berry and DeJesus were able to survive through an unbearable experience and also to make its retelling bearable enough for the reader to get through a book on it. The book focuses on the details of their imprisonment and the parallel efforts to rescue them. Heartbreaking but hopeful as these women have hopefully full and happy lives ahead of them.
