The Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature by Matt Ridley
Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
Dnf at page 110.
This was a gift from a friend who is a big science nerd, but it just wasn't for me. I found the premise of the Red Queen theory in evolution to be fascinating and applicable to other things as well, but ultimately the material was dry, boring, and jargon heavy. It also became clear early on that the author is rehashing the same points and arguments every chapter and just uses different examples and aspects of biology and reproduction.
This would have been much more enjoyable if it had been much shorter or been a documentary.
