Enjoyed this from the first page, this story was beautiful and interesting in its many timeless topics. The writing feels fresh (haven’t highlighted as many quotes in a while), and Patricia’s perspective is so full of wit. I found her to be an interesting character as you follow her throughout her separation; you go along with Pat finding out who she is again, surrounding herself with new - mostly very lovely if you forget one storyline with a very chilling scene - people, but also figuring out over the years how she still relates to Pete. The way they keep being drawn to each other despite all the hurt and complicated feelings is so tenable. Wraps up beautifully but bittersweet.
