“For the earth to live, capitalism must die.” – Nick Estes. 

Nick Estes is someone I respect immensely so I was stoked to read his book. It provides a ton of information and illuminates the historical context for Standing Rock and other movements of Indigenous resistance. 

It reads more like an academic text (incl. some chapters I found quite dense) so it’s not as accessible as I wish it was.
