A vintage romance novel that makes me curl up and squeal. I'd also like to take this opportunity to praise Georgette Heyer's research to the skies -- the slang and phrasing and knowledge of the culture is simply stellar, compared to which "To Tame/Catch/Rebuff a Duke/Rake/Lord" by Leona/Jayne/Marilyn Lanceford/Evertree/Steele is a cheap malfunctioning flashlight with a fading battery, flickering depressingly in the recesses of the literary equivalent of an alley dumpster.
