Beautifully, tragically hopeful and honest. It’s a stain on our American society that this book was written in 2015 and yet it reads as if taken straight from our 2023-24 media feeds. We (who live in empire) owe Palestine our endurance and Kanazi’s words reminded me of that again and again.
