Split Adam is book 2 in the Scion Saga Series by Calix Leigh-Reign and it was so good. It’s a little bit slower than Opaque, but we learn more about Adam, Carly and even Adam’s mom.

Carly starts to realize something is wrong with Adam like he is losing his mind because he is forgetting moments of time, things and events. He isn’t acting like himself.  Carly is on a mission to figure out what is going on with Adam all while still grieving the loss of her parents. Adam and his mom Joanne are bonding and getting to know each other again. Adam is still learning his powers while his mom soon learns that she may have some special abilities of her own. Their lives are so crazy with everything going on, but they have to factor in their high school prom and graduation.

Calix did such a great job with the characters and how she lets them be teenagers even though they are dealing with adult issues. I love how strong she made Carly, but with a loving heart. Adam is unhinged at times and his jealousy of Carly is too much. Though this book is slower in action it makes up for it by focusing more on relationships, character development, and not letting them miss the high school experience. I can’t wait to read Specular. Thank you to Love Book Tour and Calix Leigh-Reign for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
