Superman for All Seasons by Jeph Loeb

“My Mom made it for me.” The art is beautiful with the watercolor and the expressions and the richly detailed backgrounds. Clark is written wonderfully and Lex is beautifully pathetic. The framing around the seasons works really well. This is a great origin story and one  I’m glad I read but it would have five stars if it weren’t for a few Jeph Loebisms. One an oddly racist moment where vague Arab terroirs shoot a missile at metropolis. If this sounds like a big plot point it’s not it’s like five pages. Also I don’t really like how he wrote Lois. She’s a little too into Superman and not in the journalistic way. Other than that I would still say it’s worth a read just be prepared.
