As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson

5.0

Phenomenal. Devastating. Two words that I would use to describe this book. Because that's what it was. Pip had been through a lot - especially in the second book - so I wasn't surprised at the dark turn the third and final book had taken. Seeing death firsthand does that to a person. I can't remember the last time a book has made me feel so many things - and certainly not a YA thriller. I'm in awe of Pippa's brain tho. So, so, so fucking clever.

The ending was pure agony and made my heart hurt. It fucking killed me to see what Pip had to do in order to save the ones that she loved. I only wish that we had gotten a more solid ending to PipRavi's story but apparently, Holly Jackson has confirmed that Pip and Ravi do end up tg again get married eventually. Truth be told, I just need a fluffy book from Miss Holly where we get to see PipRavi, NatJamie, Connor, Cara, Naomi and the Fitz-Amobi clan all happy and doing well after all the heartbreaking things that Pip had to do.

As for the plot twist...it wasn't as surprising as the one in GGBB. I predicted it from the beginning and I'm just so glad that it ended in the death of [redacted] aka the DT Killer + Billy getting his freedom made my heart incredibly happy. 5/5 stars (and more if I could give them) because this one of the few BookTok recommended series that has actually lived up to the hype.

PipRavi have quickly become my comfort couple and I absolutely cannot wait to have these books on my shelf someday. Team PipRavi. Forever and always
