Just What Kind of Mother Are You? by Paula Daly
2.0
this book started out promising. in fact, I was hooked on the first chapter. the good thing about this book is that it is a quick and easy read and it makes you want to keep on reading to see how the plot unfolds.
unfortunately when you actually get towards the end when the "mystery" is solved, you feel cheated. the story is just unbelievable and bizzare. there were many other things that the author put too much thought into it that doesn't contribute to the plot yes I mean I get that the dog afterwards contributed to finding the man but all that tiny details that don't matter was taking up too many pages of the book. and also
characters wise.. they are okay. I don't find them particularly endearing. I quite liked Jon. he must be my favorite throughout. I hated Alexa.
however I liked how the author switches the chapters among the characters point of view especially when it comes to the rapist's. (Lolita anyone?) creepy!
overall it was okay. recommend to anyone who likes a bit of mystery tossed in with family drama. but definitely don't expect a big plot twist or anything like that.
