When I learned that this book would feature an alternate possible cornerstone, I feared the book would suffer from love-triangle-sequel syndrome, but I was relieved to find it delved deeper into emotional complexity than The Lightning Struck Heart, all while remaining a comedic adventure full of heart, loyalty, self discovery, and, as always, family.
