I thought this book was sweet and beautifully written.  The message seems to be more for the parent than the child though.  My one concern:  the illustrations try to be inclusive by depicting kids of all races and abilities.  However, the girl in the wheelchair never gets to do anything…she can’t go up the tree house ladder, she can’t swim in the ocean.  Let’s depict an inclusive world to go with our diversely drawn kiddos!  Give the tree house a ramp!  Let the kid use a walker by the ocean.  If you’re going to make an effort to be inclusive…let’s actually include people!
