One of the better books I have read this year. Hosseini shows again what an acute and sensitive writer he can be for both male and female characters. The themes of family sacrifice and separation hold together the stories of several different characters, all connected in some way that is revealed through the book. I cried at the end, as I have for his previous 2 books.
