Presented very lightheartedly but I couldn’t get past the
pedophilia. Or at least what felt like it. I think I lack the right language to describe exactly why it bothered me so much but the theme was pervasive in many interactions between Jane and Michael.
When I explained why I felt that way to anyone they thought my heebie jeebies were misguided. Something about it just didn’t sit quite right with me. I’m still confused because it was overall a cute book with a happy ending. Maybe requires some more serious reflection on my part. Maybe I’m reading too much into things. Hmm
