This book is a challenging read simply because of the emotional journey it takes you on and the gritty reflection upon society. It was so beautifully written and every word carefully selected matters. Bazterrica created a spell binding story that I hope more people read and absorb its impacts. A bold examination upon society, our self destructive nature and the violence we can enact or allow. Yes it is disturbing and yes you will feel uncomfortable but that’s part of the whole story and point . Anyone who is “grossed out” but didn’t value the story is missing to point or in denial of some self reflection.
Graphic: Animal death, Gore, Cannibalism
All the violence is more or less necessary for the story but it make need some readers ( especially empathic ones) to take a pause . Still absolute worth the read.
