jlymb 's review for:
Strictly Business
by Kallista Kohl
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Overall the premise of the story was great, the characters were clear in their motivations and I'm always rooting for a HEA.
THAT SAID:
The story centers around a sales competition called EtaSella and we don't even learn what that word means until 5 pages from the end. Super obvious sitations- the book was *very* "tell, not show." For example, "man, remeber your ex-bf Simon? He was terrible to you" cue- Simon at the event being terrible. And " I hope I don't run into anyone who can blow my cover" ....BOOM!
I'd read another by this author, being cautiously optimistic that their style improves.
