I've Been Meaning to Tell You: A Letter to My Daughter by David Chariandy

5.0

As white people who violently obtained wealth and privilege at the expense of others over the centuries simply because of the absence of pigmentation of our skin color, we should all read this letter to a beloved daughter. We should learn from it, and acknowledge how much be benefit from the system, especially in the Trump era of impunity.
This letter conveys the same grace, sorrow and tenderness as "Brother", one of the best novels I've ever read.
