This book was such a let down. I actually really liked the first few chapters. They seemed so much more developed and I liked the characters and their backstory. However, after Nate got to the ranch the book just went so down hill. Their dialouge (internal and to each other) was flat at best. It was so choppy and felt unnatural. The development of Nate and Ava's romantic relationship was also weird, unnatural, and not true to the characters themselves. Ava was supposed to be (as described by the author and other characters) intoverted, shy, and nontalkative and yet as soon as Nate gets to the ranch their riding together, fishing, and constantly talking. I didn't like EITHER Nate or Ava after they met. They didn't go together and yet the author kept forcing it.
I really could not get into this book. I wanted to like the rest the same way I had liked the first few chapters but I realized I was forcing myself to read it. Overall just really disappointing.
