Idk for some reason I just wasn't super into Nash/Lina. There's nothing wrong with either of them, but their story didn't have the same spark (for me) as Knox/Naomi. I guess in this book the cute familial sidekick is Piper instead of Lucy, but the emotional impact isn't the same. Part of this might be because this was all so LEO adjacent and just... mah, not my jam.
In general I was just more interested in the side characters! Duncan was a cinnamon roll, the female friendships give me the warm fuzzies, I'd kill to live on the Morgan homestead, and I'm DYING to read the Lucian/Sloane story in the next book. The group fight at the soccer game had me rolling.
I do really enjoy Lucy Score's writing - she's very witty and funny in a topical way, and you can tell she doesn't take herself too seriously.
