i did this as part of a tandem read with Tower of Dawn, and i highly recommend doing it that way. there were some boring parts at the beginning and in the middle but then once it started it didn’t stop.
so much happens with Aelin and her court with the war against erawan. a lot of twists and turns of who is involved in the war, what side they are on, and what they are fighting for.
part of me hates and loves that there is a massive cliff hanger at the end of this, but thats also why the tandem read makes it better. i now only have 10 chapters left of tower of dawn, as opposed to having the entire book left to read until kingdom of ash.
this book was crazy and definitely stressed me out, but in a good way because that just goes to show how much i actually care about the characters and what happens to them.
