A family trip with *cue gasps* no wifi!! I loved this because this accidentally happened to me on a family vacation about 3 years ago! Except that I did not have an annoying sister and a cute off-limits staff member :(
Avery was pretty relieved about the no wifi thing since she was trying really hard to ignore her best friend who had recently kissed Avery’s ex-boyfriend. Also, Avery is tired of being the predictable daughter and wants to start trying out new things and coming out of her shell.
I loved the general plot and most of the characters (although Lauren reaaaaally made me mad towards the end). My only complaint is that it ended up focusing too much on the contest itself and not so much on Avery dealing with her issues. I feel like it would have been cute for Avery to have had bonding moments with her dad.
