The Winner's Kiss by Marie Rutkoski

4.0

i really enjoyed this book but i guess i was looking for a little bit more of conflict in the war aspect,, they were in a war but so many times it didn’t feel like it at all. i guess the whole conflict revolves around kestrel’s loss of memory, and i don’t have any problems with that because her characterization is done well anyway, i just wish they had put the war upfront than turning it into a side conflict. but this book is mainly romance, so i guess i should’ve expected that i’d get more romance. another complaint of mine is that i wish we got more page time with the secondary characters (mainly Verex and Risha) especially since i really found them to be interesting in the second book, but they were barely even here. but putting all those aside ,, this has one of the softest and sweetest conclusions to a series i’ve ever read and i’m so uwu for that. the angst and suspense omg chef’s kiss. this series is so beautiful and i’m always gonna love it.
