Six of Crows
by Leigh Bardugo
Phenomenal read, worth all the hype.
This book is a wonderful balance of fun yet nihilistic. It's fast-paced and full of life with characters that are lovable despite all of their suffering and bad decisions (or perhaps that's part of what makes them so charming). I enjoyed all of the main characters and their different perspectives throughout the story, and although it is easy to form quick favorites, a fondness for some of the characters I hadn't preferred in the beginning creeped up on me unexpectedly towards the end of the book. For a first installment in a duology it has an ending that leaves you desperate for more, 5/5.
