One Night Only
by B.L. Mute
I had high hopes for this novella and was honestly a little disappointed. I think one of my main problems while reading this was the amount of times Reed called Juliet "Sweet Girl." If anyone used a "pet name" that often with me, I would tell him to get lost (but hey, that may just be my own personal issue.) Juliet is also a full figure character who loathes herself throughout the entire thing. Which I get, I too have body image issues and completely understand. But, I do think it was to the point that it was almost taking away from the "sexiness" aspect that this was supposed to be giving because of it. At no point did she seem empowered or in the moment, she was always thinking about how he was too good for her or how she hated her life and things about her body.
