The Bad Weather Friend
by Dean Koontz
The About the Author section says that Rolling Stone called Koontz "America's most popular suspense novelist." But there is almost no suspense to be found in this book. It's a cute little story about a guy who doesn't seem like he's in the slightest bit of danger once he meets his unstoppable sidekick. There are some funny moments, but Koontz goes back to the same well of jokes a few too many times. The flashback scenes felt like filler with little connection to the main plot. It's not a horrible book. Just unremarkable. Koontz has written much better books than this one.
